I think I know what went wrong. In your first run with the 5 pellets, you had the first 4 pellets have 3 grams each., but in the second run, the first 4 had 4 grams each. If you added 1 gram to each pellet except for the last one, you essentially took away from the original last pellet. Therefore, you didn't lose any grams, simply misplaced them in different pellets lol
